YEAR PLAN
1. Type of activity: Contest
Proposed date of activity: (year round ) September,2008 – 30th June,2008
Brief description of activity: This shall be a year round activity strictly for the chapter members .This will be primarily an encouragement programme rewarding the students who take initiative in the chapter activities or towards helping other in the chapter. The student who would contribute to tech talks, articles ,paper presentations, poster presentations, case studies, volunteer in giving workshops, volunteer in mentoring the students of lower semester ,etc will be awarded points accordingly .At the end of each term for deciding the prize. The prizes shall be categorized into monthly , half yearly and Grand Annual Prize . The grand annual prize will be awarded to the individual having the highest points cumulative during the year .The net worth of the grand prize will be kept suitably high amongst all the prizes awarded by the chapter during the year while the monthly and the semester prize shall consist of the promotional material at the chapter offices like t-shirts ,coffee mugs,mp3 players(semester), etc
2. Type of Activity: Case Study
Proposed date of Activity: December-January, 2008
Brief description of activity: This will be a case study which will done by a team of 3-4 students of the chapter on the local computer/IT companies in the region. The case study shall constitute of the evaluation of the computing needs of a large organisation and also a visit to the local industry office by the team.
3. Type of activity: Workshop
Proposed date of activity: 12th January,2008 -14th January,2008
Brief description of activity: This workshop shall consists of a refresher course in programming, internet awareness for beginners and advance concepts on programming.
4. Type of activity: Contest
Proposed date of activity:24th January,2008
Brief description of activity: This will be a contest comprising of the programming contest and website designing contest .There will be prizes for the winners .
5. Type of activity: Seminar/workshop
Proposed date of activity: 22 February ,2009
Brief description of activity: This shall be a seminar on career orientation to all the students of the chapter .This seminar shall help students in deciding their optimum choice for the summer training , job or project they must involve themselves in the forthcoming summer holiday to enhance their core skill or management skills making then more desired candidates for their job in industries. This shall be accompanied by the workshop on resume writing and art of giving interview.
