The perpetual and the eternal hunt for the one , keeps running forever . The light of the soul , the leader for the masses and the inspiration of many . I have a dream wherein everyone lives in love and peace , lets not wait for the Gods to come up and do this we could better start it ourselves .All it needs is some reaching out for our friends .

We have come up with “THE CATALYST” the programmes ,I would rather not call it an event because coining it event is a misnomer and misguiding . The programme basically focusses on the need to guide the students and the people to excellence . It intends to reward those people who take initiatives  . Look out for other people .  Help other people . Work for growth toward the excellence of self and others. The one who inspires.

The programmes is detailed as follows .
The students who remain active and actively contribute shall be rewarded .
The students who contribute to the following shall be rewarded as follows

Article posting in college wall magazine :20 points
Article posting on the acm blog(mail the article to the acm.ycce@gmail.com)    :20 points
Article in the print magazine   :30 points
Presentations (topic in course)   :50 points
presentations (topic out of course relevent to computing )
      :80 points
presentations (topic out of course across other disciplines)
      :50 points
Seminar (1/2 hour to 1 hour, on course  ):100 points
Seminar(2 hours or more ,on course )  :140 points
Seminar (1/2 hour to 1 hour, out of course):100 points
Seminar(2 hours or more ,out ofcourse )    :140 points
Worshop(3 hours , hands on training)  :250 points
Volunteer activities at ACM   :50 points
Participating in contest in college  :20 points
Winning Contest in college   :40 points
Participating in contest in college outside :20 points
Winning Contest in college outside  :40 points
Interning in summer/winter   :100 points
Working on research project    :200 points
Attending workshops     :50 points
Attending conferences    :80 points
Doing an industry project    :150 points
Participating in industry sponsored contest/project :90 points
winning an industry sponsored contest   :250 points
Mentoring a younger student   :80 points

The people submitting their entries for consideration would have to mail it to the email acm.ycce.india@blogger.com
where the entries will automatically be posted on the blog
These entries need to be commented upon by atleast 3 people to be considered ,
The commenting persons need to supply their library id card no with the comment to authorize the comment
The points will be added periodically and the highest  cummulative will be awarded by the gift hampers for the bi-weekly prize , monthly prize and a grand semester prize and the bumper annual prize .
The annual prize would be definately be highest of all the prizes that have been or will be awarded on any occasion by ACM Chapter at YCCE.
Gift hampers include t shirts , coffee mugs , bags , caps and other ACM chapter merchendizes
The semester prize and the annual prize will be announced soon after the deliberations for the same has been done.
